About Marquis

Betrayal Recovery Coach, Author, and Founder of How To Overcome Betrayal LLC

I help individuals and couples recover from betrayal, rebuild self trust, strengthen communication, create healthier boundaries, and move forward with clarity.

The Heart Behind My Work

My practice grew from my own story of overcoming betrayal, my book, and the work I have built over the past three years supporting people through one of the most painful forms of emotional disruption.

Betrayal can shake a person’s identity, confidence, sense of safety, and ability to trust their own decisions. My work is focused on helping clients move through that pain with structure, compassion, and practical support.

My Approach

My approach is grounded, honest, and forward focused. I support clients in slowing down the emotional spiral, understanding what betrayal has impacted, communicating more clearly, setting boundaries, rebuilding confidence, and deciding what comes next from a steadier place.

My coaching is guided by four pillars:

Finding Clarity in Chaos

Steady Support and Real Accountability

Rebuilding Emotional Strength

Moving Forward with Confidence

Support for Individuals and Couples

I work with individuals who are trying to regain stability, rebuild trust in themselves, and move forward after betrayal with more clarity and confidence.

For couples, I provide structured betrayal recovery coaching that supports emotional stabilization, accountability, communication, and clarity as both people work through the impact of betrayal and determine the healthiest path forward.

Training and Professional Background

My background includes lived experience, three years in practice, my work as an author in this space, and six years of extensive therapeutic training in trauma informed support, emotional regulation, crisis response, family dynamics, and rebuilding stability after harm.

I am also currently working toward my Ohio Peer Recovery Supporter certification.

Important to Know

My work is coaching and recovery support, not therapy. I do not diagnose, treat mental health conditions, or replace clinical care. I stay within my scope while offering focused support for people who are ready to heal, rebuild, and move forward after betrayal.
